Welcome to The Toyota Tercel Reference, a resource to bring you quick and reliable information for the Toyota Tercel.
I've added a page to list the transmissions that are availble in the 4th and 5th generation Tercels and 1st and 2nd generation Paseos. This info was buried in the specs pages for each generation, but now its all together on one page for easier access.
Well, its been a while since the last update. I have since moved the site to a new server which resulted in a bunch of image links going bad which I'm sure you've noticed. I think I've fixed them all, so if you notice any please let me know.
The new Mitsubishi Mirage may be able to match this mileage with its 1.2L engine. The new Nissan Micra is also an up and commer, but on in the Canadian market. Hopefully we will one day see this car in the US.
Well, its been almost a year since the last update. The Paseo has come a long way and that is the first of hopefully a few updates here. It is no longer the 60 mpg Paseo project now though. Take a read and find out why.
A while back I wrote an article on how to activate ACIS on a 5E-FHE manifold properly. It only included how to do it with a naturally aspirated engine. The article posted today has been revamped and added to. It now includes how to properly activate the secondary runners with a forced induction engine.
I also finally got the Paseo back on the road. The exhaust work is actually finished up.
Well, time for some changes around here. Domain and hosting came up for renewal again and prices went up yet again. So, I've added ads to the site. It never wanted to, but its not getting any cheaper. So, if you see something you're interested in, please give it a click and support the site.
I also haven't updated the Paseo page in a while despite a few updates. So, that page has a nice little overhaul to it.
Just a small update this time. I've updated the 60 MPG Paseo page.
Time for an update. Its been a while and not much has been done around here. So, its time to start looking forward at what will be done this summer. As such, I have added a new project to the list. It has been dubbed the 60 MPG Paseo. Thats right, something new and not power oriented. No doubt this project will lead to a few interesting articles on how to increase fuel economy. Check it out and send me an email if you have any comments or questions.
There is a new article to add to the list. Brake Master Cylinder Brace Installation is now on in the articles section. They also happen to be for sale and have thusly been added to the My Products page. Email me at email@example.com if you are interested.
Another quick update. The Brake Master Cylinder Brace testing it done, and preformed quite well.
Just a quick update, but a good one none the less. Check out the 3E-ZE page for the story of its first start.
I got a good chunk of update this time around. First off is a new article by sakana from Tercel Online. Its an article on Painting Your Wheels. Its a great option for those looking to freshen up or change the look of their wheels. I also made some updates to the Component Library, and Injector List pages. Finally, I have a pretty descent update on the 3E-ZE.
A small update again for the 3E-ZE page. I'm also still looking for dyno charts. If you have any please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A good article update this time. Two articles done by Tercel GTS from Toyota Nation. We have Rebuilding an Alternator and Rebuilding a Starter. Very handy articles as these cars are definitly aging.
Just a quick update before I head off on vacation for a few days. I updated the 3E-ZE page with a bunch of goodies.
Time for another update. For this round I added a Google search to the site. I figure as the site grows this will become more and more useful. I also updated the Engine Information page with some new pictures. Speaking of which, I am looking to create a 'Dyno Database' of sorts. So, if you have a dyno graph of that you had done of your car please submit it to me at email@example.com. Make sure to mention what engine, year, and all of the modifications done that may effect the dyno graph. Of course I also have some work done on the 3E-ZE to share. Have a look-see.
Ahh, it was a fine weekend for working on the 3E-ZE. I recommend taking a look.
Small update here. I had some time to work on the supercharger mount for my 3E-ZE. I also updated the Component Library, and the Engine Information page.
Nope, I haven't died. I really just haven't had time or content to update. There hasn't been much progress on projects or pictures to upload until lately. Of course, I'm not going to just write messages here for the fun of typing them all. No no, I have a good update for you. First lets kick off a nice article I wrote while making Loki's (from TercelOnline.com) turbo manifold for his 2nd gen 5E-FE. Making a Turbo Manifold is up for viewing. You may have noticed it already as it has been posted on TercelClub.com for a while now. Other than that, there is finally an update on the 2nd Gen 5E-FE Intake Manifold Upgrade. I think you'll enjoy that read as well. While we're doing project updates I guess I should try to convince you to go take a look at the progress on the Brake Master Cylinder Brace page. I also made some small udpates to the Engine Information page.
